The Sacred Shift: How to Get Unstuck and Start Moving Forward
Have you ever found yourself staring at your life like it’s a frozen screen?
You’re clicking the button to move forward, but nothing’s happening.
You’re aware of the desire for change… but unsure how to begin.
You want freedom. Momentum. Clarity.
But instead—you feel stuck.
Stuck in a cycle.
Stuck in a story.
Stuck in a silence that doesn’t feel like peace.
Whether it’s emotional paralysis, decision fatigue, trauma aftermath, or just the exhaustion of too many false starts—getting stuck is a profoundly human experience. And yet… it can feel so isolating. Like everyone else is moving on while you’re holding your breath.
Let me say this gently:
Being stuck is not a sign of failure.
It’s a sign that something inside you needs attention.
Compassion. Understanding.
And most of all—permission.
What Keeps Us Stuck
Sometimes we hit pause because something inside us needs to be honored.
Maybe it’s unprocessed pain—your soul is asking you to grieve something you skipped over.
Or overwhelm—so many choices, so many fears, that your body just shuts down.
Sometimes it’s the fear of the unknown. Even pain can feel familiar. Change brings uncertainty.
Or it’s the false beliefs: “I should be over this by now.” “I’m too broken to heal.”
Or maybe—it’s disconnection. From yourself. From God. From the voice of truth inside you.
What Helps Us Get Unstuck
Let’s talk about how we move.
Name what’s true
Start here: “I’m stuck.” That’s not failure. That’s honesty. And honesty is the beginning of agency.Breathe and ground
Before you make a move—pause. Breathe. Plant your feet. Remind your body: I am here. I am safe. I am held.Ask different questions
Instead of “What’s wrong with me?”, ask:What do I need right now?
Where am I feeling fear?
What is this moment inviting me to learn?
Move in micro-steps
Healing doesn’t have to look like a leap. Sometimes it’s a whisper:Send the text.
Write the journal entry.
Cry the tears.
Speak the truth to someone safe.
Borrow hope
If you can’t believe in your healing today, borrow someone else’s belief. A coach. A friend. A story. A promise. Let their light guide you until you find your own again.
The Shift Is Sacred
Sometimes getting unstuck doesn’t mean doing something big. It means allowing something small:
A shift.
From despair to possibility.
From chaos to calm.
From numbness… to feeling again.
If you’re in a stuck season, let me bless you with this truth:
Your stillness is not the end of your story.
It might just be the sacred pause before transformation.
Reflective Journal Prompts
What area of my life feels stuck right now?
What might my stuckness be trying to tell me?
What small, kind action can I take today to create movement?
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You are becoming.
And if you need support as you find your next step—I’m here.
